LOS LAGOS: FINALIZANDO TAREAS
Como bien dice el título de esta entrada, cada vez son más los aspectos del diseño que podemos apreciar en su totalidad; lo que hace que, al remontarnos a las primeras fotografías publicadas, nos demos cuenta del enorme progreso, fruto de un incansable ritmo de trabajo. Las montañas de arena removida desaparecen, para dar paso a una visión más definida del proyecto.
Nos gustaría empezar destacando lo mucho que hemos avanzado en el cajeo de los greenes, que está acabado en los hoyos 3, 7, 12, 17 y 18; ya sólo faltan el 10, el 11 y el 13.
Con respecto al drenaje, en estas tres últimas semanas se ha conseguido terminar desde la calle 10 a la 14.
Se dan por finalizadas también todas las escolleras, habiendo hecho la del lago que va del 3 al 8, la de los greenes del 5 y del 12, y las de los tees del 10 y del 13.
Finalmente, podemos decir que está listo el moldeo total del campo; en cuanto a los lagos, ya están puestas las lonas en todos los de la calle del 8, así como en el del green del 4. En el lago del nº 11, del que partirá el bombeo del campo, se comenzará haciendo las mermas de seguridad.
El “viejo Los Lagos”, que tantos buenos ratos nos ha hecho pasar, tendrá siempre un lugar en nuestro corazón, pero…ya se sabe: Renovarse o morir.

This post title couldn’t express it better, as each part of the design is getting more and more visible and, when looking back to the first pictures, is further evidence of a huge progress; result of a tireless pace of work. Those mountains of removed earth are gone, to show much more defined features of the plan.
We would like to start by stressing how much we have advanced regarding the greens groundwork, which is finished on numbers 3, 7, 12, 17 and 18; only missing the 10th, 11th and 13th.
A short mention should be made about the drainage, which – during the last three weeks – is completed from the 10th to the 14th fairway.
We can also say that the breakwaters are concluded; lately, we have been making the one on the lake that goes from the 3rd to the 8th, the two situated at greens nº 5 and 12, and the ones at the 10th and 13th tees.
Finally, the whole course molding in general is ready; and, regarding the lakes, we have already put the sailcloth in all the lakes of the 8th fairway, and also in the one at the 4th green. On the lake of the 11th, which will be the starting point of the course pumping, the first thing to do will be the security decrease.
The “old Los Lagos” gave us so many good moments and it will always have a place in our hearts; but…you know: “Reinvent yourself or die”.
