¡¡Felicidades!! Al Sr. Christensen (del grupo “Made in Denmark”), quien logró un “Hoyo en Uno” en el hoyo número 16 de Los Olivos el 2 de Abril de 2017.

El Sr. Christensen utilizó un Hierro 8 desde una distancia de 130 metros.

Congratulations!! To Mr. Christensen (from “Made in Denmark Group”), who made a “Hole in One” at Los Olivos hole number 16 on the 2^nd of April 2017.

Mr. Christensen used an 8 Iron from a distance of 130 meters.

Al fin, la noticia que todos estábamos esperando tras el duro comienzo de año que nos ha tocado superar: Los Lagos estará abierto de nuevo el próximo lunes día 20 de marzo.

Los greenes están en perfecto estado de juego; ya que, obviando las dificultades que han supuesto reflotarlo tras dos inundaciones, han sido unos cuantos meses de trabajo sin el condicionante del tránsito constante.

En lineas generales, tanto los tees de Salida como los greenes y las calles se encuentran en buen estado por lo que, en conjunto, estamos felices de poder decir que el campo se ve precioso y que los golfistas que lo prueben no se arrepentirán. Lo único que hemos dejado aparcado es la reparación de los estanques de agua, que se llevará a cabo durante el próximo verano y algunas zonas poco vistosas que serán mejoradas lo antes posible, ya que seguimos trabajando en ello.

At last, we have the most exciting news, Lagos opens again from Monday the 20^th of March.

The greens are in perfect playing conditions; since we have been working safeguarded from the continued traffic of players and considering the real odyssey to re-establish the course after two serious floods.

In general, the tees and the faiways are in good condition; for this reason, we are happy to say that the overall impression is a beautiful golf course worth playing.

Son ya casi dos meses trabajando sin descanso en las reparaciones de Los Lagos tras los destrozos de las inundaciones de Diciembre. Todo el personal y la maquinaria extra para realizar dichas labores han sido necesarias, pues es sin duda el revés más fuerte sufrido por Mijas Golf en los últimos 30 años.

Hemos tenido que superar el dolor y la frustración de contemplar los efectos de dicho temporal en un campo en el que, no hace mucho, realizamos la enorme inversión de reformar por completo.

Seguiremos adelante con estas reparaciones durante el mes de Febrero, por lo que Los Lagos también permanecerá cerrado el mes que viene. Pero también tenemos buenas noticias: Estará por fin abierto el día 1 de Marzo.

Os dejamos con algunas fotos del lago del hoyo 11, donde el personal de mantenimiento se encuentra aún quitando barro y reconstruyendo el muro; así como sustituyendo la tela de dicho lago que quedó totalmente destruida.

It’s been almost two months working without rest in Los Lagos’ reparations after the disaster caused by December’s floods. The whole staff team and extra machinery have been necessary to carry on with this work; as this is, without any doubt, the hardest setback suffered at Mijas Golf in the last 30 years.

We have had no choice but to overcome the pain and frustration to see the effects of this rain storm in the course on which, not so much ago, we did the huge investment to completely refurbish.

We will continue with the repairs along the month of February; which mean Los Lagos will be also closed during next month. But we have also good news: It will be finally open on the 1^st of March.

Here you are some pictures showing the 11^th hole’s lake; where the maintenance staff is still removing mud and rebuilding the wall, as well as changing the lake piece of fabric – which was totally broken-down -.

Aún estáis a tiempo de echar un vistazo a nuestras próximas competiciones y, y si os animáis, de inscribiros a través de una simple llamada de teléfono.

Algunas de ellas llevan celebrándose durante muchos años en nuestras instalaciones y son ya conocidas para la mayoría de nuestros clientes por el ameno ambiente que generan y los maravillosos premios  a los que se puede optar.

Otras, algo más «nuevas», repiten cita en Mijas Golf por la gran acogida de la que han gozado en anteriores ediciones y que, gracias a vuestra participación, pasarán también a la lista de «nuestros clásicos».

Damos la bienvenida a la estación estival con esta propuesta de competiciones de la que esperamos haceros partícipes y en la que ponemos todo nuestro esfuerzo e ilusión.

You are still on time to a have a look to our upcoming competitions and, if you urge, to regirster throgh a simple phone call.

Some of them have been celebrated for many years in our facilities and are known for most of our clients due to the pleasent atmosphere generated and the wonderful prizes to be won.

Others, not so «old», come again to Mijas Golf because of the great reception enjoyed in past editions; and, thanks to your participation, will become part of our «classical list».

We welcome to the summer season with this competitions proposal, hoping you to become involved in this plan full of effort and enthusiasm.
