Estimados amigos,
Os escribimos para daros una muy buena noticia. Como todos recordaréis el 4 de Diciembre Mijas Golf Club sufrió una de las peores inundaciones que se recuerdan en nuestra zona, y cuando estábamos a punto de finalizar los trabajos de reparación, volvimos a sufrir una segunda ríada el día 19/02/2017.

Tal y como os informamos el pasado mes de Marzo a través del correo electrónico, Mijas Golf Blog y redes sociales (copia adjunta abajo): “nos quedan algunos importantes trabajos a realizar, como son reparación de lagos, arreglo de algunos muros perimetrales y sobre todo, canalización de aguas pluviales para que este desastre no vuelva a ocurrir en el futuro. Os iremos informando de cuando y como afrontaremos dichas tareas”.

Para llevar a cabo estos trabajos, preferimos abordarlos lo antes posible, y en temporada baja para afectar lo mínimo posible a nuestros distinguidos socios, clientes, tour operadores, sociedades, etc…
Por lo que los primeros nueve hoyos de Lagos (1-9) cerrarán a partir del próximo 3 de julio hasta el día 17 de Septiembre inclusive.
Seguiremos contando con los segundo nueve hoyos de Lagos abiertos (10-18), en los que se podrá optar por las siguientes opciones:

Asimismo os informamos que el calendario de mantenimiento en el mes de Septiembre 2017 pasa a quedar sin efectividad, es decir no se cerrará los Olivos para el pinchado y Los Lagos abrirá el día 18/09/2017 (adjunto copia actualizada).
Una vez más agradecemos vuestra paciencia y colaboración, y os recordamos que estas medidas han sido tomadas para atajar de una vez el problema de las ríadas causadas por el arroyo que desemboca en nuestro campo cuando las lluvias son de gran envergadura.

We are writing you to report very good news. As you will all remember, on the 4th of December we suffered one of the most terrible floods that have taken place in the area for many years; and, when we were about to finish the work of repairing, we were hit by another rain storm that left us a second flood on the 19th of February 2017.

As you were informed in March by e-mail, Mijas Golf Blog and social media (copy bellow): “there are still some considerable works to be done such as the lakes repair, fixing some perimeter walls and most of all, to canalize rainwater to prevent this disaster from recurring in the future. To carry out with this works, it is preferible to star as soon as possible and during low season; in order to avoid troubles to all our appreciated visitors, members, golf societies and tour operators as far as possible.
Therefore, the first nine holes (1-9) will be closed from next 3rd of July intil the 17th of September inclusive.
The second nine holes of Los Lagos will be available (10-18); so the the client will have the following options on Los Lagos:

All the bookings confirmed on Los Lagos for this period will be automatically moved to Los Olivos, and we will start to get in touch with each one of these customers following a date of play order.
We also inform you that the original maintenance calendar is now obsolete regarding the month of September 2017. This means that Los Olivos won’t be closed in September 2017 for hollow tinning according to plan, and Los Lagos will open on the 18th of September 2017 (updated copy attached).
Once again we have to thank you for your support and patience, and to ask you to keep in mind that these meassures are well studied in order to tackle the floods caused by the river which lead into our course when the rain is that heavy.

¡Ya falta muy poquito para inaugurar nuestro nuevo kiosko!
Apenas quedan ya algunos detalles por ultimar y estará listo justo para la temporada estival; una paradita donde nuestros clientes podrán saborear un merecido tentempié o recargar “pilas” con su bebida favorita.
Además de los típicos bocadillos, snacks y refrescos, también se podrá disfrutar de un delicioso café.
Su interior dispondrá asimismo de aseos, lo cual consideramos una mejora a destacar siempre pensando en la comodidad de los jugadores que visitan nuestras instalaciones.
El kiosko está situado entre el putting green y el hoyo 10 de Los Lagos (a pocos metros de la caseta del Starter), zona donde también se está llevando a cabo una ampliación del espacio habilitado como aparcamiento.

New refreshments stand will be opened in a short time!!
Only a few details remain to be finished and it will be ready just for the summer season; a stopping place where our customers will be able to savor a well deserved snack or to “recharge batteries” with their favorite drink.
In addition to the typical sandwiches, snacks and refreshments, it will be also be possible to enjoy a delicious coffee.
There will be toilets inside, which we consider a remarkable improvement with the purpose to offering all the possible comforts to our visitors.
This refreshments stand is located between the putting green and Los Lagos 10th Tee (only a few meters from the Starter’s Hut), where we are also extending the area enabled as parking.
