Son ya casi dos meses trabajando sin descanso en las reparaciones de Los Lagos tras los destrozos de las inundaciones de Diciembre. Todo el personal y la maquinaria extra para realizar dichas labores han sido necesarias, pues es sin duda el revés más fuerte sufrido por Mijas Golf en los últimos 30 años.

Hemos tenido que superar el dolor y la frustración de contemplar los efectos de dicho temporal en un campo en el que, no hace mucho, realizamos la enorme inversión de reformar por completo.

Seguiremos adelante con estas reparaciones durante el mes de Febrero, por lo que Los Lagos también permanecerá cerrado el mes que viene. Pero también tenemos buenas noticias: Estará por fin abierto el día 1 de Marzo.

Os dejamos con algunas fotos del lago del hoyo 11, donde el personal de mantenimiento se encuentra aún quitando barro y reconstruyendo el muro; así como sustituyendo la tela de dicho lago que quedó totalmente destruida.

It’s been almost two months working without rest in Los Lagos’ reparations after the disaster caused by December’s floods. The whole staff team and extra machinery have been necessary to carry on with this work; as this is, without any doubt, the hardest setback suffered at Mijas Golf in the last 30 years.

We have had no choice but to overcome the pain and frustration to see the effects of this rain storm in the course on which, not so much ago, we did the huge investment to completely refurbish.

We will continue with the repairs along the month of February; which mean Los Lagos will be also closed during next month. But we have also good news: It will be finally open on the 1^st of March.

Here you are some pictures showing the 11^th hole’s lake; where the maintenance staff is still removing mud and rebuilding the wall, as well as changing the lake piece of fabric – which was totally broken-down -.

Todo el personal de Mijas Golf está trabajando incansablemente para reparar los daños que las inundaciones del pasado domingo provocaron en los campos.  Cada esfuerzo necesario para su recuperación es para nosotros un compromiso con nuestros clientes y no pararemos hasta poder abrirlos de nuevo, tras este triste y obligado cierre debido a la desastrosa inundación.

Os iremos informando sobre los avances en dicha tarea con imágenes y videos como el que pueden ver pinchando el enlace de abajo, en el que se observan los trabajos ya realizados en el green del hoyo 13 de Los Lagos.

Gracias por todas las muestras de apoyo y cariño recibidas durante estos días; nos emociona profundamente tanto la solidaridad de los campos de golf vecinos como la empatía de nuestros clientes y socios.

The whole Mijas Golf staff is working tirelessly to repair the damages that last Sunday’s floods caused on the courses. Every effort required for its recovery is for us a commitment to our customers and we will not stop until we can open them again, after this sad and forced closure due to the disastrous flood.
