El clásico memorial Felipe Pérez (fallecido en 2009) celebró su 7ª Edición el viernes 9 y sábado 10 de Agosto de 2019. En esta ocasión se cumplía el X Aniversario de su fallecimiento, por lo que sus hijas (Ana y Marina Pérez Mediavilla), fueron las encargadas de entregar los premios de los equipos y pro ganadores.

Al tratase de un torneo de carácter benéfico, conseguimos recaudar mediante la inscripción, la importante cifra de 4.250€, los cuáles fueron donados a la Asociación Golf Solidarios para ayuda de niños, mayores y personas desfavorecidas y en riesgo de exclusión.

Los participantes jugaron en formato “Shot Gun” y en la modalidad de Pro-am “DOS MEJORES BOLAS – MEDAL PLAY”, realizándose dos salidas al tiro cada día a las 9.30 y a las 15.30, tanto el viernes como el sábado. La asistencia total fue de 100 equipos – 400 jugadores. Obtenían premio los 4 mejores resultados profesionales: de 3.000€, 2.000€, 1.000€ y 500€ respectivamente.

Durante la entrega de trofeos, que tuvo lugar en la terraza del Restaurante Mijas Golf, se pudo disfrutar de un ambiente de lo más agradable y animado; dando paso después a una de las mejores rifas hasta el momento, con premios tan atractivos como 1 abono vip ilimitado para 2020 en Mijas Golf, material de golf de prestigiosas marcas, cenas degustación, suites y fines de semana en maravillosos hoteles y un gran número de greenfees para jugar en algunos de los campos de golf más reconocidos de la provincia de Málaga, entre otros muchos regalos.

Durante el discurso de agradecimiento previo a la entrega de premios, el Director de Mijas Golf – D. Lorenzo Pérez – tuvo muy en cuenta tanto a patrocinadores como a colaboradores, sin cuya confianza y generosidad no se hubieran no se hubieran podido ofrecer tan fabulosos premios.

The 7th edition of this Memorial to Felipe Pérez Cortés (passed away in 2009) was hosted on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of August 2019. With this edition we reach the tenth anniversary of his death, so his daughters (Ana and Marina Pérez Mediavilla) were in charge to deliver the prizes to the winner teams and pro.

Being a Charity Tournament, the high number of registrations made possible to collect 4.250€ to be donated to the Golf Solidarios Association in help of children, old people and disadvantage people at risk of exclusion.

The participants played in a “Shot Gun” format and the modality of the pro-am was “2 Best balls – Medal Play”. There were two shot guns each day, Friday and Saturday, at 9.30 am and 15.30; which resulted in a total attendance of 100 teams (400 players). The prizes were for the 4 best professional results: 3.000€, 2.000€, 1000 € and 500€ respectively.

Everybody enjoyed of a pleasant and entertaining atmosphere during the prizes giving at Mijas Golf Restaurant Terrace, culminated by one of the best raffles so far at Mijas Golf Club including: 1 unlimited yearly membership at Mijas Golf for 2020, fabulous dinners at local restaurants, Suites & weekend stays in wonderful hotels, a large number of green-fees to play in some of the most renewed golf courses in Málaga, golf equipment from excellent brands and much more.

Mijas Golf Director D. Lorenzo Pérez, very thankful, dedicated a part of his speech to emphasize the enormous generosity and trustfulness of our Sponsors and Collaborators, who made possible such a fabulous prizes giving and raffle.

ESPAÑOL

Nuestra entrada de hoy pretende ser un homenaje a todos aquellos que dedican su tiempo y esfuerzo a hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor.

Dentro de la actual vorágine de  un entorno empresarial agresivo en el que se buscan los resultados a corto plazo, lanzando promociones de alto impacto (Black Friday, Ciber Monday, Día sin IVA, etc.),  resurgen ahora empresas más concienciadas con los problemas reales de nuestra sociedad. Más preocupadas porque se reconozca su compromiso social como un valor añadido.

Es este compromiso social a lo largo de los años el que creará una sostenibilidad en el tiempo, ganando la batalla a las ofertas de éxito pasajero; creando un impacto en las personas más allá de lo comercial.

No olvidemos que, cuando los altos niveles de competitividad hacen muy difícil destacar sólo por el producto o por el precio, lo que marcará la diferencia será aquello por lo que la gente nos conoce; lo que nos hace más cercanos a ellos; lo que hace que “nos prefieran”.

En Mijas Golf siempre hemos intentado aportar nuestro granito de arena con nuestro apoyo a diferentes causas sociales; bien a través de donativos o siendo anfitriones de maravillosos torneos benéficos, algunos de los cuales llevan celebrándose aquí desde hace muchísimos años.

Como nuestro entrañable Torneo organizado por la “Asociación Española contra el Cáncer”, que ha celebrado el pasado mes de Julio su vigésimo segunda  edición y que lleva ya 65 años luchando contra esta terrible enfermedad en todos sus frentes. Así como los organizados por “Solidarios”, asociación a la que se destinó una recaudación de 3.750€ en la pasada edición del prestigioso Pro-am Felipe Pérez  en ayuda a ADIMI (Asociación para personas con discapacidad intelectual de Mijas). O el que lleva a cabo “AFA Fuengirola”, sin cuya ayuda la vida sería mucho más dura para los familiares de enfermos de Alzheimer.

Como iniciativa más reciente, el “Primer Memorial Blas Fernández” se ha sumado este año a la causa contra el cáncer.

Cualquier pequeña aportación ha sido a su vez bien recibida por Asociaciones como por ejemplo DEBRA, dedicada a mejorar la calidad de vida de los afectados por Epidermólisis Bullosa (más conocida como “Piel de Mariposa”).

Y, por último, mencionar a unos huéspedes habituales en nuestra casa: La Asociación Hispano Nórdica; una asociación sin ánimo de lucro, que realiza donaciones a distintos colectivos como Fuensocial (cuyo fin, entre otros, es el desarrollo de terapias sensoriales para niños con discapacidades físicas o psíquicas).

Gracias de corazón a todos ellos, los verdaderos protagonistas, por no dar nunca su brazo a torcer cuando se trata de mejorar la calidad de vida de tanta gente. Un millón de gracias por hacernos partícipes y contagiarnos vuestro entusiasmo.

Our post today aims to be a tribute to all those who dedicate their time and effort to make this world a better place.

Within the current maelstrom of an aggressive business environment on the hunt of short-term results with high-impact promotions (Black Friday, Ciber Monday, No VAT Day, etc.), companies now more aware of our society real problems are re-emerging; more concerned to be recognized by their social commitment as an added value.

This social commitment over the years will create long term sustainability to win the battle against ephemeral offers that are doomed to a fleeting success; to achieve a social impact much more important than the commercial one.

Do not forget that, when high levels of competitiveness make it very difficult to stand out only by the product or due to the price, what will make the difference will be what people know about us; what makes us closer to them; why they would «prefer us».

In Mijas Golf we have always tried to do our bit with our support to different social causes; either through donations or hosting wonderful charity tournaments, some of which have been held here for many, many years.

As our dear Tournament organized by the Spanish Association against Cancer”; which has been now 65 years fighting against this terrible disease. Last July, we had the honor to host their twenty second edition. During the last edition of our prestigious Pro-Am Felipe Pérez, 3750€ were donated to “Solidarios” in help of ADIMI (Mijas Associaton for Intellectual Disability affected people). And competitions made by “AFA Fuengirola”, another fabulous association in help of Alzheimer patients’ relatives.

As a more recent addition, the “First Memorial Blas Fernández” joins the fight against cancer.

Any small contribution has been well received by Associations such as DEBRA, dedicated to improve the quality of life of children affected by Epidermólisis Bullosa (more commonly known as “Butterfly skin”).

And, finally, we will also mention a regular guest in our house: The Hispano Nordic Association; a non-profit association which makes donations to least favored groups as, for example, Fuensocial (whose purpose, among others, is to develop sensory therapies for children with physical or mental disabilities).

Thank you with all our heart to them, the real protagonists, for never give up when it comes to improving the quality of life of so many people. A million thanks for sharing it with us and for transmitting us all their enthusiasm.

¡Ya falta muy poquito para inaugurar nuestro nuevo kiosko!

Apenas quedan ya algunos detalles por ultimar y estará listo justo para la temporada estival; una paradita donde nuestros clientes podrán saborear un merecido tentempié o recargar “pilas” con su  bebida favorita.

Además de los típicos bocadillos, snacks y refrescos, también se podrá disfrutar de un delicioso café.

Su interior dispondrá asimismo de aseos, lo cual consideramos una mejora a destacar siempre pensando en la comodidad de los jugadores que visitan nuestras instalaciones.

El kiosko está situado entre el putting green y el hoyo 10 de Los Lagos (a pocos metros de la caseta del Starter), zona donde también se está llevando a cabo una ampliación del espacio habilitado como aparcamiento.

New refreshments stand will be opened in a short time!!

Only a few details remain to be finished and it will be ready just for the summer season; a stopping place where our customers will be able to savor a well deserved snack or to “recharge batteries” with their favorite drink.

In addition to the typical sandwiches, snacks and refreshments, it will be also be possible to enjoy a delicious coffee.

There will be toilets inside, which we consider a remarkable improvement with the purpose to offering all the possible comforts to our visitors.

This refreshments stand is located between the putting green and Los Lagos 10^th Tee (only a few meters from the Starter’s Hut), where we are also extending the area enabled as parking.
